Directing three seasons of a talk show about our biggest taboo.
Financial education is traditionally boring and dense. On social media, it’s often sensationalist or worse — straight up wrong. To combat the misinformation, we teamed up with two bona fide money experts: SoFi’s own Brian Walsh, a CFP AND Ph.D.; and Vivian Tu, aka Your Rich BFF, former Wall Street trader.
But we couldn’t stop there. You know what’s better than telling you how to get rich? Showing you how. That’s why we invited a superstar lineup of guests to talk about their money mistakes and triumphs — and hold open the door for our viewers to find success, too.
Each season consists of 6-10 episodes, roughly 20-40 minutes apiece, released biweekly on SoFi’s YouTube channel.
Then each episode is cut down to 9:16 short-form video for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, and distributed across the channels of SoFi, Your Rich BFF, and our guests.
The series took SoFi’s YouTube following from under 30,000 subscribers to over 125,000, earning us a famed Silver Play button from YouTube — the first brand in the financial services category to do so.
